TikTok Shop to Launch European Cross-Border Selling Feature, Allowing UK Local Sellers to Ship to 12 EU Markets

According to foreign media reports, TikTok Shop will officially roll out its EU cross-regional selling feature on October 19, 2026. Through this tool, UK-based local sellers will be able to directly list products for 12 EU markets including Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Austria, Greece, Portugal and Hungary, reaching more consumers across the region. Prior to this update, TikTok Shop's European sites covered 14 countries, and UK sellers were required to separately open dedicated storefronts for corresponding EU countries to conduct sales. Once the cross-regional feature launches, sellers will be able to achieve multi-market coverage with a single product upload.

Ahead of the official launch, the platform will kick off an early pilot program on September 21, extending targeted invitations to select sellers. Invited sellers will receive exclusive notifications with details on specific access requirements and onboarding processes.

Eligibility is determined through real-time assessment of seller account status and operational performance by the platform's system. Qualified sellers must be active local merchants already operating in the UK market, with healthy account status that is not on the high-risk list or under high-risk observation. Their stores must have valid sales records in the past 30 days with no long-term dormancy, and the existing accounts must have no large outstanding negative balances. Eligible sellers will later be able to view the EU market expansion entry directly in their seller dashboard.

Some permitted product categories are subject to special restrictions in the EU market, requiring sellers to submit additional attribute information or compliance qualification documents. The platform updated its qualification control standards for categories including electronics, toys, cosmetics and maternal and child products for EU sites in July 2026. Products that fail to submit required qualifications will face removal from shelves. Sellers can visit the corresponding function pages on the platform to check relevant details on logistics, returns and exchanges, payment, regulatory requirements and other policies.
