Amazon to Launch Two China-US Air Freight Products with Transit Times of 7-10 Days and 11-15 Days Respectively

[Ebrun Original] According to information released on September 7, Amazon Global Logistics is set to launch two China-US air freight products, namely AGL Premium Air (Standard) and AGL Value Air (Economy). Amazon revealed that the estimated transit times for the two products, from departure in China to arrival at Amazon's US fulfillment centers, are 7 to 10 calendar days and 11 to 15 calendar days respectively.

Among them, AGL Premium Air relies on fixed flights from Shanghai and Hong Kong to the United States, while AGL Value Air is shipped via fixed flights from Shanghai and Shenzhen. Both products adopt the Live Unload method, allowing cargo to be unloaded directly upon arrival at the destination port warehouse to cut down on warehousing waiting time.

In terms of warehousing entry methods, both products support Amazon's Access Point (AMP) and Single-Site Shipment (MSS), and AGL Premium Air also supports AGL Split Shipment Preference (SMP). Categories such as apparel, electronics, and products containing lithium batteries do not incur additional surcharges, and door-to-door pickup services are currently available in multiple core cities and relevant regions across China.

As of press time, Amazon has not yet announced the specific launch date and pricing standards for the two China-US air freight products.

Previously, Amazon launched its AGL China-US air freight service in China in August 2025, with the first phase focusing on direct flights from Shanghai and Hong Kong to Los Angeles. This time, the China-US air freight service will add two time-sensitive tiers: standard and economy, with Shenzhen added as a fixed flight departure point for the economy product.

In addition to the China-US air freight products, the AGL China-Europe Express Sea Freight service was launched in August this year. This product departs from four domestic ports: Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, and Yantian, and ships full container loads (FCL) directly to Amazon's fulfillment centers in the UK and Germany. Amazon stated that the fastest cross-border transit time from China to Europe is 48 days.
