Alibaba Cloud Launches Tongyi AI Arena, First Challenge Focuses on Cross-Border E-Commerce Scenarios

On August 13, 2026, Alibaba Cloud launched the Tongyi AI Arena, a specialized challenge and evaluation platform for AI agents. All tasks on the platform are built based on real business scenarios, providing developers with supporting models, operating environments and evaluation tools, and enabling developers to submit and test agent solutions.

The first challenge track opened on the platform focuses on the cross-border e-commerce sector, requiring participants to generate corresponding product listing materials for three overseas markets: the United States, South Korea and Brazil, covering copywriting in three languages: English, Korean and Portuguese, as well as supporting product images and videos. According to the established schedule, the automatic evaluation phase will kick off in mid-August, and the top 30 submitted solutions will enter the subsequent expert review stage.

Tongyi Qianwen is a full-modal general large model system independently developed by Damo Academy. It provides external services relying on Alibaba Cloud Bailian MaaS platform, covering two major product lines of closed-source commercial models and open-source models. Among them, the Tongyi Qianwen 3 series has targeted optimizations in AI agent development and cross-language generation capabilities, supporting understanding and generation in more than 100 languages, and adapting to scenario requirements such as global content creation and intelligent agent development.
