Amazon Japan Launches New Mukoegawa Fulfillment Center in Amagasaki, with Daily Processing Capacity of 500,000 Units

August 14 news - Amazon Japan officially launched the Mukoegawa Fulfillment Center (Mukoegawa FC) at the north building of GLP ALFALINK Amagasaki in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, Kansai region on August 5. This is the second fulfillment center Amazon has built in Amagasaki, and also one of the largest fulfillment centers in the Kansai region. It has a construction area of approximately 111,000 square meters, a storage capacity of 1.17 million cubic feet, and an average daily inbound and outbound processing volume of over 500,000 units each. The new center is equipped with 3,000 Drive robots and 30,000 Pod storage racks, which can increase inventory storage capacity by about 40% in the same space. It has also introduced automatic paper bag packaging equipment and rooftop photovoltaic facilities. Between 2021 and 2025, Amazon's cumulative investment in Hyogo Prefecture has exceeded 180 billion yen, with the investment in 2025 alone reaching 44 billion yen.
