The Ultimate Goal of Technology is Humanistic Protection: Chen Bin of Lockin Technology to Attend 2026 Global New Brand AI Competitiveness Conference

On July 23rd, the 10th Global Cross-Border E-commerce Summit and the 2026 Global New Brand AI Competitiveness Conference, themed "Leading the Way in Tech Aesthetics," will be held in Hangzhou. Chen Bin, Founder and CEO of Lockin Technology, has confirmed his attendance and will participate in a roundtable discussion on "How to Build New Categories, How to Create New Products, and How to Establish AI Competitiveness.

In May 2014, Chen Bin, a graduate of Tsinghua University's Department of Electronic Engineering, founded Yunding Technology, the predecessor of Lockin. Prior to that, he worked as a multimedia algorithm engineer at Sony's headquarters, where he developed subjective lossless video technology. He then moved to Baidu, where he served as an architect and led the establishment of Baidu's Multimedia Cloud Platform and the Xiaodu Smart Home Platform.

Since its inception, Lockin Technology has successively received investments from institutions such as Baidu, Shunwei Capital, SIG, Fosun, Xiaomi, and Lenovo Capital. This year, Lockin has submitted its prospectus to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, aiming to become the "first AI smart lock stock."

In the fiercely competitive smart lock sector, Lockin has chosen a more long-term approach—eschewing a focus on parameter stacking, it instead seeks competitiveness in two underlying technologies: "biometrics" and "energy."

Lockin's first strategic move is vein recognition.

As the world's first company to achieve mass production of vein recognition smart locks, Lockin ranked first globally in shipments of vein recognition smart locks in 2024, with a market share of 10.5%. Its total smart lock shipments during the same period ranked fourth globally.

Technologically, Lockin launched its first mass-produced palm vein smart lock in 2023. Among these, the Palm Lock V5 series is the result of a deep strategic collaboration between Lockin and Tencent Cloud. The integrated palm vein recognition technology boasts a recognition speed of 0.22 seconds, 64.6% faster than binocular facial recognition, and offers 15 times the security of facial and fingerprint recognition.

Its second strategic move tackles what the industry widely recognizes as a bottleneck: the "energy monolith."

Chen Bin has repeatedly emphasized that "energy is the primary foundation for AI." At the 2026 CES, Lockin globally debuted the True AI Smart Lock V7 Max, equipped with the Lockin AuraCharge? technology. This technology utilizes an infrared, non-laser wireless power transmission solution, enabling stable power supply within a 4-meter range, with energy supply efficiency 40 times that of traditional solar charging. The AuraCharge technology has received dual photobiological safety certifications from TüV Rheinland and SGS, meeting safety standards suitable for infants and children. The transmitter can operate stably for over 10 years and continues to function in environments with rain or low temperatures. Its significance extends beyond "convenient charging"; once energy is no longer a constraint, millimeter-wave radar and local large AI models no longer need to enter "forced sleep" mode to conserve power. Lockin refers to this breakthrough as the "GPT Moment" for smart locks.

Built upon these two technological foundations is the complete capability matrix Lockin has constructed—featuring the LockinAI? Smart Butler, which combines local AI with cloud-based large language models, covering nine core AI scenarios; the LockinCam? Sentinel triple-camera system, with an outdoor dual-camera module (4-megapixel 16° wide-angle + 2-megapixel 89° wide-angle) combined with a 24GHz millimeter-wave radar for proactive security; and the flagship V7 Max product, designed by former Apple Chief Designer Hartmut Esslinger, featuring the industry's thinnest front panel at 15mm. With this achievement, Lockin won the most prestigious 2026 CES Best of Innovation Award.
