On July 2, in accordance with Vietnam's new E-commerce Law which officially took effect on July 1, 2026, Shopee's local stores in Vietnam will undergo compliance upgrades regarding seller information management, product listing, and violation handling. The platform will roll out a bank account verification feature in batches starting July 8. Sellers will be required to link only legally registered payment accounts under their own names. Legal risks arising from inaccurate information will be borne by the sellers themselves. All sellers must complete dual verification of identity and tax information before listing products for sale. Sellers involved in the sale of specific product categories need to prepare industry-specific business qualification documents in advance and submit them once the platform opens the upload portal. The store will automatically display the business license registration address (filled in the tax information section). This public display does not constitute a violation of off-site traffic diversion rules.
