According to foreign media reports, TikTok has launched a new standalone application called TikTok Pro Events in the United States, focusing on scenarios related to global cultural moments such as the World Cup. The app allows users to interact with other fans, browse trending videos, and view curated content streams from creators.

Users aged 18 and over can earn Stars points by completing fan-oriented activities within the app, such as searching for popular hashtags, accessing the World Cup zone, and sharing content. These points can be redeemed in the in-app store for official World Cup merchandise, TikTok Shop coupons, or, through a partnership with Feeding America, can allocate a portion of TikTok's charitable donations.

Currently, users can also access the 2026 FIFA World Cup zone within the main TikTok app by searching for 'FIFA World Cup'. This zone is powered by TikTok GamePlan, a product suite developed for sports teams, leagues, and broadcasters to increase content visibility and deepen fan engagement. The zone aggregates event-related content, creator-generated content, and highlight clips released by broadcasters.

It is reported that TikTok Pro Events is now available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in the US. Industry analysts suggest that launching a standalone app for global cultural events can help the platform compete for user attention, provide creators and advertisers with a more focused audience, and open up new revenue streams for TikTok, including sponsorships, brand partnerships, creator marketing, and advertising.
