[Ebrun Original] Recently, SHEIN announced on LinkedIn the opening of a new 35,000-square-meter logistics center in Cannock, a town in the Midlands region of England.

The facility is equipped with advanced automation technologies, including robotic systems for order processing and automated sorting lines, aimed at providing consumers with faster fulfillment services. Additionally, the new center has created 450 jobs, bringing the total number of logistics positions at SHEIN UK to 1,000.

'This investment reinforces our commitment to providing better services for UK customers and market partners. The facility enhances our ability to deliver faster and more reliable services while supporting the local economy through job creation and collaboration with regional companies,' said Martin Reidy, Director of Corporate Affairs for SHEIN Europe.

According to reports, SHEIN currently has over 100 million consumers in Europe and approximately 3,000 active sellers from the UK. The new logistics center will also enable better service for UK-based sellers and consumers.

In fact, SHEIN has been continuously expanding its UK operations, having already established three offices in London and one in Manchester.

Public information shows that Cannock is part of the UK's renowned 'Golden Logistics Triangle,' with excellent transportation links. Logistics trucks departing from here can reach 90% of the UK population within four hours. The new logistics center is now fully operational, becoming the third warehouse for SHEIN within the Cannock campus. SHEIN's total footprint at the campus has doubled, exceeding 60,000 square meters.

Previously, SHEIN did not have fully self-built distribution centers in the UK and relied on a partnership with the third-party logistics company Super Smart Service. Super Smart Service had been operating warehousing facilities at the Cannock campus dedicated to handling SHEIN's UK orders. As SHEIN's UK order volume surged, the original two core warehousing facilities gradually reached capacity, making the opening of a third warehouse a necessary step.

Late last year, SHEIN also opened a 740,000-square-meter warehouse in Poland, similarly equipped with robotic picking systems and automated sorting lines. It collaborates with over 170 local small and medium-sized enterprises, covering transportation, packaging, and supporting services. Establishing local warehouses in Europe serves multiple purposes: it helps mitigate the impact of the EU's upcoming policy to eliminate tax exemptions for low-value imported parcels, shortens delivery times, enhances the shopping experience, supports the onboarding of local European sellers, and addresses increasingly stringent trade compliance requirements.
