Shein Releases Supply Chain Audit Report: 99.8% Wage Compliance, Over 60% of Workers Satisfied with Jobs

On April 30, Shein released its Supply Chain Responsibility Audit Report. The report is based on an independent assessment conducted by WRAP of 208 core suppliers in Guangzhou. The analysis of 7,317 wage samples showed that 99.8% of the samples complied with the local statutory minimum wage standard, 95.5% of the hourly wages exceeded the minimum wage by at least 40%, and 97.5% of the samples complied with statutory overtime pay standards. Regarding worker satisfaction, 86.8% of respondents expressed satisfaction with the working environment, and 65.6% held a positive view of their job content, with only 2.4% of workers explicitly expressing dissatisfaction. However, approximately 26.7% of workers felt that their wage income was insufficient to cover living expenses.
