On March 24, Walmart disclosed that the actual conversion rate of its 'Instant Checkout' feature launched in ChatGPT was significantly lower than expected. Daniel Danker, Executive Vice President of Product and Design at Walmart, stated that the conversion rate for users making direct purchases within the AI chat interface was only one-third of the conversion rate achieved when users clicked a link to jump to Walmart's official website, representing a decline of approximately 66%.
