Mercado Libre's Unboxing Days in Mexico Concludes with Outstanding Sales of Tech and Home Appliances

On August 4th, 2025, Mercado Libre broke the summer sales record in Mexico during Unboxing Days, with the millennial generation emerging as a major force in online shopping. In this promotion, 67% of buyers were male and users between 25-44 years old contributed the majority of the purchase volume, becoming the new consumer group for e-commerce in Mexico. At the same time, they were adept at using newer payment methods, among which interest-free installment payments through Mercado Libre accounted for a significantly higher proportion. This year's Unboxing Days saw outstanding sales of tech and home appliances, as they became the two largest categories in terms of transaction volume and the two payment methods of interest-free installments.
