[Ebrun Original]Recently, in the face of an upcoming House vote, TikTok once again sent a pop-up notification to American users, stating that this would "deprive you and millions of Americans of the community you love," calling on users to call their congressmen and express their opposition to the "ban."

TikTok spokesperson stated that TikTok government affairs staff will visit the House of Representatives office this week, and creators are expected to arrive in the next few days, although the company expects the outcome of the vote will not be changed.

John Bresnahan and Andrew Desiderio, reporters for Punchbowl, also wrote on the social media platform "X" that TikTok CEO Zhang Shousi will visit the U.S. Congress before March 13 to make the final lobbying effort regarding the divestment bill.

It is reported that the House of Representatives will vote on the new TikTok divestment bill on the morning of March 13. This bill will compel ByteDance to divest TikTok within 165 days of the legislation. If the company fails to comply, the use of the app will be banned in the United States.

If the new TikTok divestment bill is voted through by the House of Representatives, it will then be voted on by the Senate. If both houses reach consensus, the bill will be submitted to the White House for the President to sign into effect. U.S. President Biden has previously stated that if the bill is passed in Congress, he will sign it.

Trump has publicly expressed opposition to this bill, as he still believes TikTok poses a national security risk, but opposes the ban on this popular app. “You ban TikTok, and Facebook will be a big beneficiary. But Facebook is very bad for our country, especially in terms of elections,” Trump said in an interview with foreign media.

Trump spokesperson Steven Zhang said, “President Trump believes Congress must take action to protect the safety and privacy of all American users on social media platforms.”

In addition, according to foreign media reports, Kelly Ann Conway, who served as a senior advisor to President Trump, is lobbying for TikTok in the U.S. Congress on behalf of the conservative "Growth Club" and has held meetings with legislators at least 10 times in recent months.
