Recently, Amazon announced the launch of the "Middle East Voyage Bonus", which provides new brand sellers who settle in the Amazon Middle East Station with a series of benefits in the first year, including a direct reduction of up to 50% in commission for all categories, and reward benefits covering advertising, logistics, and promotion expenses. This is another significant move by the Amazon Middle East Station following the release of the "Ten Thousand Store Voyage Plan" at the end of November last year.

"The Amazon UAE Station provides a path for sellers to reach millions of consumers, covering not only the UAE, but also Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar, among other areas," said Ronaldo Mouchawar, Global Vice President of Amazon and Head of the Middle East and North Africa.

Against the backdrop of the rapid growth of e-commerce in the Middle East, an increasing number of Chinese sellers are accelerating the expansion of their cross-border e-commerce business in the Middle East through Amazon. The latest figures show that as of June 2023, the number of Chinese sellers on the Amazon Middle East Station that had gone online increased by over 40% compared to the same period last year. The “Middle East Voyage Bonus” launched this time will help more sellers who are interested in expanding business opportunities in the Middle East to quickly start their businesses.

According to the introduction, the "Middle East Voyage Bonus" is aimed at all new brand sellers who have gone online on the Amazon Middle East Station between October 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024.

Taking the UAE Station as an example, in the first year that a new brand seller settles in, in addition to the direct reduction of up to 50% in commission for all categories, they can also receive benefits of up to $600, covering a $200 Amazon SEND logistics expense reward, a $200 Amazon advertising product expense reward, and a $200 Amazon promotion coupon expense reward.

"For sellers who are newly entering a station, how to improve cost-effectiveness is their primary concern. We are helping sellers start their businesses with lower costs and greater speed through various measures, with the aim of helping them better manage the risks of entering new stations," said Song Xiaojun, Vice President of Amazon China and Head of Amazon Global Open Store China Seller Expansion, driving global expansion as one of Amazon Global Open Store China's strategic focuses for this year.

The policy this time is also a further measure taken by Amazon to support sellers in expanding to multiple stations. According to the "Ten Thousand Store Voyage" plan released last year for the Middle East Station, Amazon will support over 10,000 Chinese sellers to settle in the Amazon Middle East Station annually for the next three years by providing support across the entire process, including settling in, compliance, product selection, and branding.

Official data shows that as of now, Amazon has over 10 operating centers, 65 self-operated and third-party delivery sites, and an SME distribution service provider network in the Middle East and North Africa region. By continuously improving operational infrastructure and increasing local investment, Amazon supports seller growth while meeting the diverse needs of consumers.

Last year, Amazon officially opened its largest operating center in the UAE, increasing its warehouse capacity by 70%. This year, Amazon plans to launch its most technologically advanced operating center in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to further drive logistics innovation in the Middle East.

Since the launch of the Amazon Middle East Station, Chinese sellers have demonstrated strong competitiveness in categories such as electronics and accessories, home and personal care, achieving impressive results.

Faraz Mehdi, Sales Director of the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asian regions, and the UK and Ireland at Anker, mentioned that Middle Eastern consumers have strong purchasing power and a low sensitivity to prices, presenting significant opportunities for brands pursuing quality and innovation.

It is reported that the Amazon Middle East Station is an important part of Anker's global business layout. In 2023, the sales volume of high-end sweeping machine products under Anker has increased by about 30% compared to 2022; during the "White Friday" promotion period in 2023, sales of Anker's brand soundcore true wireless earphones grew by over 100% year-on-year.

Established in 2018, the luggage brand SHOWKOO entered the Amazon Middle East Station in April 2023. “The business environment in the Middle East is good, and there is a high consumer demand, with considerable potential for growth.” Liu Xu, General Manager of SHOWKOO, pointed out that since entering the Amazon Middle East Station, SHOWKOO's sales performance has increased several times. During its first participation in "White Friday", SHOWKOO's flagship luggage set occupied the top position on the Best Seller list.
