[Ebrun Original] Recently, TikTok is testing a new shopping feature that will automatically recognize video content, allowing users to find products similar to the ones in the TikTok Shop.

It is reported that the feature uses technology to automatically recognize shopping products in videos and encourages viewers to find similar products on the TikTok Shop by clicking on the product page. A TikTok spokesperson confirmed that the feature is still in the early stages of testing.

Last year, TikTok Shop officially launched in the United States and participated in the Black Friday Sale for the first time. Over 5 million consumers made purchases on the TikTok Shop during Black Friday. According to FastMoss data, the TikTok Shop in the U.S. had a single-day GMV of over 33 million U.S. dollars on November 24th during the "Black Friday" promotion period. The United States has the highest number of TikTok users and is an important market for TikTok e-commerce. According to demandsage data, TikTok's MAU in the United States exceeded 160 million last year, close to 45% of the total U.S. population. According to Bloomberg, the TikTok Shop's target GMV in the U.S. by 2024 is 17.5 billion U.S. dollars.
